Collaborative Pianist
Hi! I'm Bethany. If you're looking for me, I'm at the piano!
I am a former music educator, and I understand how difficult it can be to find an accompanist. If you have scheduling issues, time constraints, and a limited budget, it can be even more difficult! I believe that a live accompanist is always the best solution, but a live accompanist is not an option for every music program. My mission is to provide accompaniment for all groups by creating tailored tracks to match the specific needs of your performers. I also make piano practice tracks, in case some of your singers need a little extra help learning their parts!
In the world of music education, there is a constant need for adaptation. Perhaps you need tracks recorded at a variety of tempos, in different keys, with different voicings, or with parts added/subtracted from the written score. I record tracks to meet the individual needs of your program, and I always re-record for free if additional changes need to be made.
I hold a Master’s degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University and have taught high school band, choir, handbells, private piano lessons, and elementary general music. I have accompanied for University recitals (instrumental and vocal), competitions, and am currently serving as an accompanist for many local school districts in the Central and Northern Virginia areas including Arlington, Prince William, Fairfax, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and Hanover. I am also the accompanist for the Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg.
As you run your programs and share the joy of music-making with others, I hope I can partner with you as your "virtual" collaborative pianist!
